what it says on the tin. leave a blank comment, include your preferences or a starter, it's all good. reply to others with a text, a dirty picture (please link all nsfw things!), misfires, misdials, drunk filthy voicemails, whatever your heart desires. |
THE FEVER MEMETop level ⟶ Your character's come down with a fever, and it’s getting worse.
Replies ⟶ Your character has found this other person in a miserable state. They're burning up, shaking, and, worst of all, confused.
No medicine or magic helps. Touch does, you've discovered.
A hand against their face will bring the fever down for a little while. Holding them works better; bare skin is the best remedy. Stay too long, though, and the healthy character may begin to feel the same heat creeping in.
One last bit - listen, this could be important. Fever loosens tongues, especially a fever like this one. Anything said while half-delirious shouldn't be considered hard fact.

You meant to text somebody else. The stranger who got the message could tell you that. They could also provide you with the best advice of your life. HOW TO

Congratulations!
You're getting married. Whether that's exciting, horrifying, politically necessary, or simply the least bad option on the table is another matter entirely.
Your parents signed the contract before either of you could walk. A monarch looked at a map and decided this seemed like a sensible way to prevent a war. Somebody inherited a title, a curse, or a kingdom with a spouse conveniently attached.
Whatever the reason, the wedding's happening.
Now comes the awkward part: figuring out what exactly to do with the person you're expected to spend the rest of your life with. You might fall in love, or you might spend the entire marriage plotting each other's untimely demise. There's plenty of room in between.
Your character has been cursed, displaced, whatever. The fix is worse: before midnight, they need five kisses from five different people.

A person you've never met approaches you. "Hey. Sorry for this," they say. "Pretend you know me." Simple enough.

In our bones, we all know this kind of relationship.
Maybe the ending was written long before either party showed up. One of them might've made a terrible decision and spent the rest of the story paying for it. Or, despite all good intentions, the universe simply took one look at two people’s happiness and said, "absolutely not."
The endgame isn't making it to the finish line. No. Our goal here is far, far worse. We need to make everyone miserable when the whole love falls apart.
How to play: Roll, pick, combine, ignore the numbers entirely. Whatever gets your characters into the most emotionally expensive situation possible.

Love makes people do funny things. Felonies, sometimes.
You have a... special person. You know their schedule better than your own. Their shampoo is easy to recognize from the pillowcase you took from their laundry, the one you keep sealed up so it won't fade. Thursdays mean takeout from the same place, same order, eaten standing at the kitchen counter. You can see that window from the parking lot.
It's fine. You haven't done anything they need to know about.
Yet.
